1982. Bronze mit schwarzbrauner Patina. 13,5 x 15 x 19 cm. Innen monogr. MC, num. Ex. 16/35. - Literatur: WVZ Gabler/Ohnesorge 454 - Croissant zählt zu den herausragenden Vertretern deutscher Bildhauerkunst in der 2. Hälfte des 20. Jh. Nach einer Steinmetzlehre und dem Besuch einer privaten Kunstschule studierte er an der Kunstakademie in München bei Toni Stadler, von 1966-1988 hatte er eine Professur an der Städelschule in Frankfurt a.M. inne. C. hinterließ ein sehr umfangreiches Oeuvre von über 1500 Arbeiten. Das zentrale Thema seiner Kunst war die Figur, sein Stil ist geprägt von radikaler Formvereinfachung und Abstraktion. Mus.: Städel-Museum, Frankfurt a.M.; Bayerische Staatsgemäldesammlungen und Lenbachhaus, München; Lehmbruck-Museum, Duisburg; Museum Ludwig, Köln etc.

After confirming your email address, enter your personal information in your user profile, such as your first name, last name, and mail address. Choose a lot from the upcoming auction and the maximum amount you want to place on it. After confirmation of your choice, we will send your application by e-mail to the appropriate auction house. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
