MICHAEL THONET 1796 Boppard - 1871 Vienna FIVE BENTWOOD CHAIRS MODEL '215 P' AND '215 PF' Germany, Thonet, around 1975 Bentwood, black varnished, upholstered plywood shells w. fabric cover. h. 85 cm, w. 52 / 41 cm, d. 51 / 49 cm. Each marked with a label in the frame. Probably rest., fabric partly worn and stained, one seat shell slightly damaged, varnish with scratches and partly dull. The original design dates from 1859. Provenance: private property Rhineland.
