Schwertklinge eines Hiebschwerts mit Schwerpunkt und größter Breite (4,5 cm) im unteren Drittel. Die Spitze lang ausgezogen, nach oben sich verjüngend und vor dem Übergang zum Griff nur 3,2 cm breit. Der Griff durch Überfangguss über den obersten Teil der Klinge befestigt. Unten trapezoider Abschluss des Griffes, seitlich mit zwei einwärts gezogenen Zargen, die in der Mitte einen runden Durchbruch mit Blick auf den obersten Klingenteil freilassen. Darüber der im Querschnitt linsenförmige, seitlich ausbauchende Griff. Dieser durch drei Bänder aus quer verlaufendenden, parallelen Ritzlinien verziert, die oben und unten von einer Punktreihe eingefasst sind. Scheibenförmiger, unverzierter Knauf mit zylindrischem Knopf in der Mitte. Scharten an den Schneiden restauratorisch ergänzt. Schöne, olivgrüne Patina mit bläulichen Oxydflecken. Länge 57,7 cm.
Provenienz: Süddeutsche Privatsammlung. Bereits Anfang des Jahrtausends vom 2013 verstorbenen Vater übernommen.

Blade of a slashing sword with balance point and major width (4.5 cm) in the lower third. The point elongated, tapered towards the top and only 3.2 cm wide at the transition to the grip. The cast-on grip fastened to the upper part of the blade and with trapezoid bottom, at the sides two indented notches with a round opening towards the upper part of the blade. Surmounted by the grip of lenticular section with bulging sides. The grip decorated with three bands of vertical, parallel incised lines bordered by a row of dots at the top and bottom. Disc-shaped, undecorated pommel with cylindrical knob in the middle. Notches at the edges restored. Beautiful, olive-green patina with bluish oxide stains. Length 57.7 cm.
Provenance: Southern German private collection, taken over from the father, who died in 2013, at the beginning of the millennium.

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
