Bei diesem Blasinstrument mit starken Alterungsspuren handelt es sich um ein Horn möglichweise afrikanischen Ursprungs. Es besitzt einen gekrümmten, mit Fell bezogenen Holz-Schalltrichter und hat am dünnen Ende, innenliegend, ein quadratisches „Fenster“, das als Mundstück dient.
Afrikanische Hörner wurden meist aus tierischen Materialien gefertigt, seltener aus Holz. Sie werden quer angeblasen. Neben verschiedenen rituellen Anlässen werden sie auch zur Kommunikation genutzt.

This wind instrument with strong signs of age is a horn possibly of African origin. It is a curved, wooden, acoustic horn covered with fur. At the thin end, it has a square "window" on the inner side, which serves as the mouthpiece.
African horns are usually made of animal materials, more rarely of wood. They are blown transversely. Besides various ritual occasions, they are also used for communication.
