Das Kloster Walaam ist ein orthodoxes Kloster auf der Insel Walaam im Ladogasee in Karelien in Russland. Das auch als nördlicher Athos bezeichnete Kloster wurde im zehnten Jahrhundert von den Walaamer Wundertätern Sergej und German gegründet.

Composed of several wood panels with two back sponki. Tempera on gesso, gilt background decorated with finely engraved foliage. Engraved radiating halos. The border adorned with polychrome geometric motifs. Portrayal of the two miracle workers Sergius and Germanus, founders of Valaam monastery, with the monastery and landscape in the background. An image of the Resurrection of Christ in the centre at the top. The reverse with export stamp. Very delicately painted, in good condition, no vertical crack, only minor retouches. Dimensions 125 x 80 cm.
Valaam Monastery is an orthodox monastery on Valaam island on Lake Ladoga in Karelia, Russia. The monastery is often referred to as "Athos of the North" and was founded in the 10th century by the Valaam miracle workers Sergius and Germanus.

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
