Silber, vergoldet, am Rand des Standfußes vier Punzen, darunter „13“ für Feingehalt 13 Lot. Profilierter bauchiger Rundfuß, darauf ein balusterartiger maskaronverzierter Schaft mit drei s-förmigen Spangen und geflügelten weiblichen Figuren. Die hohe Kuppa mittig zylindrisch geschnürt und mehrfach profiliert. Auf dem gebauchten unteren und oberen Bereich reliefierte Ornamentbänder mit Beschlagwerkfeldern, darin Vasen, Masken, Vögel.
In der Mitte umlaufend fein reliefierte mythologische Szenen. Gewölbt, mit breitem Rand sowie reliefierten Masken und Früchten. Als oberer Abschluss eine vollplastische Ritterfigur, am Schild die Gravur „MDCV“.
Gebrauchs- und Altersspuren. Höhe 88 cm. Gewicht 3,55 kg.

A monumental German lidded vermeil trophy cup, 2nd half of the 19th century
Gilt silver, four hallmarks on the edge of the base, including "13" for fineness 13 lot. A baluster-like shaft, embellished with mascarons, with three s-shaped bars and winged female figures, on a contoured, bellied, circular base. The high bowl with cylindrical lacing in the centre and several grooves. Bands of relief ornamentation on the bulbous upper and lower sections, with strapwork fields containing vases, masks and birds.
A border of mythological scenes in fine relief around the middle. Domed, with a broad border, plus masks and fruit in relief. A fully sculptured figure of a knight as the finial, "MDCV" engraved on his shield.
Signs of age and handling. Height 88 cm. Weight 3.55 kg.
