Bronze, dunkel patiniert. Sign. u. nummeriert 5/10. Ebonisierte Holzplinthe. Abstrakte, wohl um 1970 entstandene Bronzeplastik des bedeutenden polnisch-israelischen Bildhauers, vergleichbar mit der großen Betonskulptur "Two Shapes" (von 1970). Ziffer studierte bei Eugen Gustav Steinhof in Wien; 1925 wurden fünf seiner Skulpturen auf der legendären "Exposition internationale des arts décoratifs et industriels modernes" in Paris gezeigt; 1927 lernte Ziffer bei einem Paris-Besuch die Avantgarde-Bildhauer Constantin Brâncusi und Pablo Gargallo kennen; 1928 hatte er eine große Ausstellung in der Galerie Holbein in Wien. 1929 setzte er sein Studium an der Berliner Hochschule der Künste fort, zu seinen Förderern zählte Albert Einstein, den er auch in einer Büste porträtierte. 1933 emigrierte Ziffer, unterrichtete Bildhauerei in Jerusalem und Tel Aviv, reüssierte in Palästina und Israel zu einem angesehenen Künstler, der auch für zahlreiche öffentliche Skulpturen herangezogen wurde. Ges.-H. 26,5 cm.

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
