Trois sonates pour le Clavecin, ou Pianoforte avec l'accompagnement d'un Violon. Dediés a Mademoiselle Josephe d'Aurnhamer. Oeuvre 2. Livre 1[-6]. [Vienna:] J. Clappi [c.1791].
Second edition; the first was published in Vienna in 1781 by Artaria & Co. Both editions were dedicated to Josephine d'Aurnharmer (1758-1820), a pupil of Mozart, of whom he wrote in a letter to his father: ‘the little lady is a monster but she plays deliciously’. RISM M-6492 and M-6493.

2 volumes, oblong quarto (248 x 340mm). 6 engraved part-titles within elaborate borders in vol. 1, engraved throughout, plate number 22 (varying sheet sizes, first part-title lightly creased, light variable browning and spotting throughout). Original decorative paper-covered boards, elaborately cut-out paper labels on front covers lettered in ink manuscript (extremities lightly rubbed). Provenance: Gerhart Egger (stamps on front free endpapers).
