In order to 1860. The perimeter of the Theodor Wagner (1800-1880).

Ivory carved and partially gold and color-grouped. The wood core. Inside with Velvet. In the style of the Italian Renaissance worked. Transverse rectangular body on the winged
Claw-foot. Gekehltes Sims with all-round moldings. On the wall on all sides with Reliefs
with battle scenes. At the four edges in each case a standing guardian figure. Easily
domed lid with Emperor heads and Maskarons between the foliage. Tumbaförmige
Crown with horizontal female current 25,5x24,5x18cm. Condition B.

The offered box is made very similar to a pomp cassette for Wilhelm I of Württemberg from the year 1841. This work has been attributed to Theodore Wagner, who used in turn as template drawings of Joseph Joachim Schnitzer. This box was sold in 2007 at Christie's Amsterdam for 216.000 euros
