Ein Bogen Papier (Maße 22,8 x 18,2 cm) mit Text in schwarzer Tinte, "Monsieur Mollien, faites cinq cent mille franc en or de mon trésor de [?] pour Naples.". Darunter eigenhändiges Kürzel "Nap" Napoleons. Am Unterrand in Tinte beschriftet "Recu le 2 Novembre donnée des ordres le 3 [?]" und möglicherweise mit Kürzel oder Unterschrift Molliens (stark ausgeblichen), zudem Bleistiftnotizen von Sammlerhand. Gefaltet, etwas fleckig.
Nicolas Francois (ab 1808 Comte) Mollien (1758 - 1850) war von 1806 bis 1814 Minister des Trésor public und erster Finanzberater Napoleons. Die finanziellen Mittel galten Joseph Bonaparte, der 1806 König Ferdinand III./IV. von Neapel und Sizilien aus Neapel vertrieb.
Spannend ist auch das Datum des Briefes; nur wenige Tage nach der siegreichen Schlacht bei Jena und Auerstedt weilte Napoleon vom 24. bis 26. Oktober in Potsdam, besichtigte Schloss Sanssouci und ließ am 25. Oktober 1806 die Gruft Friedrichs des Großen in der Garnisonskirche öffnen, nahm den Degen des preußischen Königs an sich und soll gesagt haben: "Chapeau bas, messieurs, s'il était vivant, nous ne serions pas ici aujourd'hui" (Hut ab, meine Herren, wenn er noch am Leben wäre, wären wir heute nicht hier).

Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
