Schlanker, leicht konische Becher mit weit ausgestellter verstärkter Lippe. Der Rand des Bodens fein gezahnt. Umlaufend fein gravierter Dekor auf ziseliertem Grund. Umlaufend Darstellung acht verschiedener Figuren in der Tracht des Mittelalters in Maßwerkbögen. Ungemarkt, auf dem Boden graviert "Vivat Albert". Die Innenseite mit Rersten von Vergoldung. Höhe 11,5 cm, Gewicht 137 g.

Isaac Edouard Wolfers, Begründer des Hauses Wolfers in Brüssel, arbeitete nur wenige Jahre zwischen seiner Einbürgerung 1834 und seinem frühen Tod im Jahre 1838.

A gothic revival silver cup by Isaac Edouard Wolfers, Brussels, circa 1834-38
Slender, slightly conical cup with flared and reinforced lip. The edge of the base finely serrated. Finely engraved ornaments on a stamped base around the perimeter. Circumferential portrayal of eight different figures in medieval attire in tracery arches. Unmarked, “Vivat Albert” engraved on the base. The inside with traces of gold plating. Height 11.5 cm, weight 137 g. Cf. very similar cup offered at Sotheby's Paris on 26.04.2017.
Isaac Edouard Wolfers, founder of House Wolfers in Brussels, was active for only a short number of years between his naturalisation in 1834 and his premature death in 1838.

After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
