Elfenbein mit glänzender Patina. Auf dem Boden knieend und mit der linken Hand den abgetrennten Kopf von Kesa emporhebend, in seiner rechten Hand hält er das Messer. Sein Gesicht ist vor Gram verzerrt.

Erzählt wird die tragische Geschichte von Endo Morito, der sich in Kesa, der Frau des Minamoto no Wataru, verliebte. Eines Tages gab sie seinem Drängen und Verlangen nach und gab vor sich nachts mit ihm treffen zu wollen. Allerings unter der Bedingung, dass Endo Morito ihren Mann töten sollte, der alleine im Haus schlief. Endo Morito tat wie ihm geheißen und enthauptete die schlafende Person, die er im Hause vorfand, nur um festzustellen, dass er soeben Kesa getötet hatte, die den Platz ihres Mannes einnahm, um ihre Ehre zu retten.
