Ivory carved in very fine, engraved and colored dark. Japanese, with aggressive open mouth, winds around the bell of the Miidera temple. In
the Left hand she holds a Hammer to ring the bell, and the hidden
Anchin, of which only the feet and the Kimono are to see, to coax. H. 4,8 cm., B. 4., 4 cm. signed: Tomochika, see MCI, p. 885ff. Condition B/C. the style of the hammer canceled.
