Boxwood with extremely finely carved and engraved Details. The lucky God Hotei with a stiff fan in the Left-hand sitting on a Chinese
Chair. The trays inserted from tortoise shell, the Himotoshi framed with mother-of-pearl,
different Details-some of which are dyed mother-of-pearl, of deposits-chair from the dark
coloured ivory. H. 3,5 cm, B. 2,and 8 cm. signed Chikusai, on a rectangular tortoiseshell Reserve, see MCI, p. 25, showing a very similar piece of ivory. Osaka, active 1850-75. Condition A/B. label in ink on the bottom.
