First edition of a treatise on human love largely based on Petrarca's sonnets and Ficino's Neoplatonist theses, it received immediate appreciation from Annibal Caro, Carlo Gualteruzzi, Benedetto Varchi and Torquato Tasso.

8vo (200 x 145mm). Printer's device on title, initials and woodcut headpieces, without final blank (tiny paper flaw in the blank margin of title, some light browning and minimal spotting, a small stain on the final leaves). 18th-century marbled boards backed in calf decorated in gilt (minimal rubbing).

First of all, you should register to be able to purchase at auction.
