A Balkan-Turkish officer's shamshir, 19th century
The slightly curved, single-edged blade made of wild Damascus steel. The cutting edge with substantial notches here and there. The brass quillons with floral décor in relief. The grip in karabela form with wooden grip panels. The leather-covered wooden scabbard with classic stitching in brass wire. Brass fittings with hammered floral décor. Two movable suspension rings. Length 95.5 cm.
