Hohe, versilberte Tombakglocke, im Nacken gestempelt "DELACHAUSSEE" und "20", seitliche Tülle für den fehlenden Federstoß. Hoher, feuervergoldeter Kamm (eine Schraube ergänzt) mit Blasendekor und Lorbeerfriesen, der Rücken mit Flechtdekor und schwarzem Rosshaarschweif sowie Tülle für den roten Rosshaar-Stoß. Feuervergoldetes (teils berieben) Emblem mit gekreuzten Trophäen und Fahnen, im Zentrum die Jakobinermütze auf Axt, flankierende Eichenlaubbrüche. Aufgelegtes hochovales Medaillon mit einem Alpaka vor Potosi mit aufgehender Sonne sowie einem Weizenbündel, darunter sieben Sterne. Die Tombak-Schuppenkette mit Lederfutter an versilberten Medaillons mit Löwenkopf-Maskaronen. Der Vorderschirm mit Leder ausgekleidet. Ledernes Innenfutter (Verschnürung ergänzt) mit goldenem Floraldekor.
Ausgesprochen früher Helm aus der Zeit nach Boliviens Unabhängigkeit ab 1826. Die französische Fertigung spricht für einen vermögenden Träger im hohen Offiziersrang.
Tall silver-plated tombac skull, the neck stamped "DELACHAUSSEE" and "20", lateral socket for the missing feather plume. High fire-gilt crest (one screw replaced) decorated with a bladder design and laurel frieze, the back with a woven pattern, black horsehair mane, and socket for the red horsehair tuft. Fire gilt (partially rubbed) helmet plate with crossed trophies and flags, in the centre the liberty cap on axe, flanked by oak leaves. Applied vertical oval medallion with an alpaca in front of Potosi with rising sun and wheat bundle, underneath seven stars. The leather-lined tombac chinscales on silvered medallions with lion head mascarons. Leather-lined front visor. Leather lining (replaced cords) with gold floral decoration.
Exceptionally early helmet from the time shortly after the Bolivian independence of 1826. The French production indicates that the original owner was a wealthy and high-ranking officer.
