Öl auf Papier, später auf Karton aufgezogen. Detaillierte Studie zu einer Grisaille-Malerei. In späterem, teilvergoldetem Holzrahmen. Rückseitig altes Etikett ("Esquisse de la mort de Cesar...") sowie Inventaraufkleber. Eine Expertise von Frau Dr. Federica Spadotto liegt dem Gemälde bei.
Diziani war unter anderem in Venedig Schüler von Sebastiano Ricci und gilt heute als dessen wichtigster Nachfolger. Als reisender Künstler verbrachte er auch mehrere, prägende Jahre in Deutschland, wo er unter anderem an den Hof von August III. berufen wurde. Hier gestaltete er Bühnenbilder und entwarf einige Gemälde für die Schlosskirche in Dresden. Später gestaltete er für die Residenz in München vier Supraporten. Werke von Diziani befinden sich in den renommiertesten Museen, vom Louvre über die Wiener Albertina bis in die Eremitage. Bildmaße 75 x 58,5 cm, Rahmenmaße 91 x 74 cm.

Diziani studied under Sebastiano Ricci in Venice and other places and is today regarded as his most important successor. As a travelling artist he also spent several, formative years in Germany, where he was appointed to the court of Augustus III. He designed stage sets and created several paintings for the Schlosskirche in Dresden. Later on, he designed four supraportals for Munich's Residence. Works by Diziani can be found in the most prestigious museums in the world, from the Louvre in Paris, the Albertina in Vienna all the way to the Eremitage in St. Petersburg. After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
