Technique: Silver, twice with gilt interior.
Description: Consisting of coffee and tea pot, milk jug, sugar bowl and hot water jug on Rechaud.
Conical body with curved tubular spout above flat, round footing. Double handle with trompe l'oeil basketwork decor. Domed hinged lid with palmette ornament and cone knob.
Sides decorated with geometric decor in relief. The original wooden box lined with leather. On it the company signet: Froment Meurice 372 rue St. Honoré.
Weight: Ca. 4301g.
Measurement: Height of the pots 23,5 /15,5 /35cm.
Mark: Paris guarantee of standard 950 (Rosenberg Nr.5880), maker's mark Froment Meurice (Émile Froment-Meurice, since circa 1840), workshop mark Froment-Meurice.

François-Désiré and his son Émile Froment-Meurice were among the most outstanding Parisian silversmiths and jewelers during the Restoration and Second Empire. Their work was not only celebrated at world exhibitions, but also highly valued at the royal courts of Europe.
Thus, not only the famous toilet set of the Duchess of Parma, but also, for example, a cradle for the first-born son of Napoleon Bonaparte, presented as a gift from the city of Paris, came from the workshop of Froment-Meurice (Les Froment-Meurice p.47ff and p.98).

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
