The complete series of original pencil drawings executed by Jim Burns for the Suntup edition of George Orwell’s 1984.
Jim Burns is an acclaimed science-fiction and fantasy artist whose artwork has adorned the covers of many hundreds of books including Frank Herbert’s Heretics of Dune and Eye and George R.R. Martin’s A Game of Thrones. He has been awarded 3 Hugo Awards as well as 14 BSFA Awards during his long career. He also worked on the movies Blade Runner, Chronicles of Riddick and the cancelled Forbidden Planet remake.

Octavo. 17 colour-printed illustrations after the originals by Jim Burns, extra-illustrated on half-title with original pencil sketch of O’Brien signed ‘JB’ and dated 2024, publisher’s bookmark loosely inserted. Publisher’s black cloth, spine lettered in red at foot, upper cover and spine lettered in red and black on silver ground; original dust-jacket lettered in silver, red and white. Housed in publisher’s die-cut silver-paper covered slipcase, lettered in red and black on spine.

After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
