In feiner Kalligraphie aus schwarzer Tusche mit Gold- und Rothöhung gearbeiteter Glückwunsch mit Goldrand und aquarellierter Schmuckinitiale. Es folgen 40 Seiten mit hunderten Unterschriften der Burschenschaftsmitglieder, die jeweiligen Burschenschaften in Kalligraphie, teils mit Gold- und Farbdekor, gelistet. Dabei "Albia" in Wien, "Allemannia" in Graz, "Alemannia" in Wien, "Carolina" in Prag, "Bruna-Sudetia" in Wien, "Franconia" in Graz, "Germania" in Wien, "Ghibellinia" in Prag, "Libertas" in Wien bzw. in Brünn, "Olympia" in Wien, "Teutonia" in Wien bzw. Prag und "Suevia" in Innsbruck. Blattmaße je 43 x 31,5 cm.
In prunkvoller Lederkassette, rückseitig in Goldprägung signiert "Paul Pollack Wien VI. Hirscheng. 7." und "Gez. Rudolf Gross". Der vordere Einband mit zentralem Emailleportrait Bismarcks (stark beschädigt) mit seitlicher Signatur "Auguste Wahrmund Wien", umgeben von den farbigen Wappen der deutschen Staaten auf einer Eiche mit reichem goldumrandeten Eichenlaubdekor. Die Umrandung mit fein und erhaben geschnittenen Blattranken auf golden gekröntem Grund. Sechs versilberte Metallbeschläge mit zwei der sechs emaillierten Einlagen, dem deutschen Wappenschild und dem Geburtsdatum Bismarcks. Die Rückseite mit feinem geometrischen Lederschnitt, glatter Lederrücken. Die Innenflächen sowie drei Außenseiten mit türkis-goldenem Papierbezug, teils beschädigt bzw. unterseitig auch fehlend. Maße der Kassette 45 x 34 x 5,5 cm.
Otto von Bismarck, als Student selbst Mitglied des Göttinger Corps Hannovera, für das er 1833 25 teils blutige Schlägerpartien focht und zuletzt Consenior war, wurde zeitlebens und insbesondere nach seiner Entlassung durch Kaiser Wilhelm II. im Jahr 1890 von den Burschenschaften verehrt. Höhepunkt war eine Huldigungsfahrt nach Friedrichsruh zu seinem 80. Geburtstag 1895, als 6.000 Studenten anreisten, um den Ehrentag des "Eisernen Kanzlers" zu begehen.

The letter of congratulations written in fine calligraphy in black ink with gold and red embellishments, a gold edge and ornamental initial in watercolour. This is followed by 40 pages, listing hundreds of signatures of fraternity members, the respective fraternities written in calligraphy, partly with gold and coloured decor. Including "Albia" in Vienna, "Allemannia" in Graz, "Alemannia" in Vienna, "Carolina" in Prague, "Bruna-Sudetia" in Vienna, "Franconia" in Graz, "Germania" in Vienna, "Ghibellinia" in Prague, "Libertas" in Vienna and in Brünn, "Olympia" in Vienna, "Teutonia" in Vienna and Prague und "Suevia" in Innsbruck. Each sheet measuring 43 x 31.5 cm.
In a magnificent leather chest, with "Paul Pollack Wien VI. Hirscheng. 7." and "Gez. Rudolf Gross" embossed in gold on the back. The front cover with an enamelled portrait of Bismarck in the centre (badly damaged), signed "Auguste Wahrmund Wien" on the side, surrounded by the coloured coats of arms of German states on an oak tree, lavishly embellished with gold-edged oak leaf ornaments. A border of finely chiselled leafy vines in relief on a gold, crowned background. Six silver-plated metal mountings with two of the six enamelled inlays, the German coat of arms and Bismarck's date of birth. The back cover chased with fine geometric leather patterns, smooth leather spine. The inner surfaces and three outer sides covered in turquoise and gold paper, damaged in places and missing underneath. Dimensions of the casket 45 x 34 x 5.5 cm.
Otto von Bismarck, as a student himself a member of the Göttingen Corps Hannovera, with which he fought 25 bloody battles in 1833 and ultimately served as Consenior, was revered by the fraternities during his lifetime and especially after his dismissal by Kaiser Wilhelm II in 1890. The pinnacle was a trip to Friedrichsruh in honour of his 80th birthday in 1895, when 6,000 students came together to celebrate the "Iron Chancellor's" special day.

The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
