Öl auf Leinwand. Impressionistische Darstellung eines weiten Kornfeldes unter bewölktem Himmel. Im Vordergrund zieht ein Bauernpaar mit vollbeladenem Wagen an einigen Kornmieten vorbei. In der rechten unteren Ecke signiert "Otto Pippel". Im fein rocaillenstuckierten Rahmen aus Holz. Bildmaße 69,5 x 78,5 cm, gerahmt 83,5 x 93 cm.
Otto Pippel (1878 - 1960) war ein wichtiger Maler des deutschen Impressionismus. Zwischen 1911 und 1931 stellte er fast jährlich im Glaspalast aus, heute ist er mit seinem Werk im Münchener Lenbachhaus und der Rosenheimer Stadtgalerie vertreten.
