Um 1925. Bronze, goldfarben patiniert, und Elfenbein. Auf dem achtseitigen Marmorsockel geritzte Sign. 'Prof. POERTZEL'. Patina ber., Figur rückseitig best. (größere Kerbe am r. Oberarm). Figur: H. 35 cm, Sockel: H. 8 cm. - Deutscher Bildhauer und Porzellanmodelleur, studierte u.a. bei Erwin Kurz und Adolf von Hildebrand an der Münchener Akademie, ab 1900 in Coburg ansässihg, stellte bei den Weltausst. in Saint-Louis 1904 und Brüssel 1910 aus, nach dem 1.Weltkrieg widmete er sich dem Porträt, schuf auf Bau- und Gartenplastik sowie Tierplastik und kleinplastische Modelle in Elfenbein und Bronze, in den 20er und 30er Jahren erhielt Poertzel zahlreiche Aufträge für Portraitbüsten versch. Mitglieder des Hauses Sachsen-Coburg-Gotha. Sein Atelier befand sich in Marschberg bei Coburg, Hügelstr. 8.
