Landschaft mit Kirchdorf an einem See und rastender Bauernfamilie nach der Mahd
Spätromantische, in der Erfassung des Lichts und Atmosphäre künstlerisch qualitätvolle Stimmungslandschaft, die auf der rechten Bildseite von monumentalen, alten Baumriesen dominiert wird. Von Thoren besuchte die Akademie in Amsterdam, 1865 ließ er sich in seiner Heimatstadt Wien nieder, Anfang der 1870er Jahre ging er nach Paris. Seit 1868 war Thoren Mitglied der Wiener Akademie der bildenden Künste; seit 1870 Mitglied der Akademie von St. Petersburg. Er widmete sich der Landschafts-, Tier- und Bildnismalerei. Öl/Lwd.; R. u. monogr. u. dat. 1872. Verso zwei alte Inventar-Etiketten des 19. Jhs., außerdem Sotheby's-Etikett von 1995 mit Nr. 3349. 72 cm x 95,5 cm. Original-Rahmen.
Lt. Informationen des Einlieferers soll es sich um ein Geschenk Kaiser Franz Joseph I. von Österreich an den Großherzog von Baden handeln.

Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments.
