from the Palace of Prince August in Berlin after a design by Karl Friedrich Schinkel.Cast iron, formerly painted green. Crafted console broken element in the Form of a lush, spacious, partly. rolled, acanthus-like Blattvolute, as well as a narrow, profiled angle. Design of Karl Friedrich Schinkel, to 1826/1828. Attached is a report from Dr Achim Stiegel. Partly. restored; consoles-H. 63 cm. 110 cm x 9.5 cm.The console model was used as part of a group of six identical architectural elements to use, which contributed to a glassed-in gallery on the garden side of the 1945 destroyed the Palace of Prince August in Berlin. The transformation of the Prince's Palace was one of the first significant orders Schinkel for the Prussian court.
