José Jorge Guardiola Bonet (Barcelona, 1869 - 1950), 1925, ceramic, polychrome painted, glazed, vases bellied towards the top with rocaille border in relief, including a children's round dance with fruit garland under vines, height 33.5 cm and 34.5 cm, signed/inscribed to the inside of the lip 'Josep Guardiola, 10 de Marc-any 1925 Esplueges de Llobregat' and 'Josep Guardiola, 22 de Setembre de l'any 1925 Esplueges de Llobregat', also inscribed to the underside, condition A/B, one vase chipped to the stand ring. Josep Jordi Guardiola i Bonet (Barcelona, 1869-1950) was a Spanish painter, ceramicist and journalist who was situated between Modernism and Noucentisme.He studied at the Escuela de la Lonja in Barcelona, where he was a pupil of Luis Rigalt and Ramón Amado.
