Von vier starken, eingerollten Füßen mit reliefplastischen Blüten und Blättern getragener, ovaler, tief gemuldeter Stand. Auf einem zylindrischen, blütenverzierten Sockel sitzende Amorette mit weinlaubbekränztem Haar, in beiden Händen ein Füllhorn emporhaltend. Tief gemuldeter Einsatz aus farblosem Glas mit sternförmig ausgeschliffenem Ansatz. Auf der Wandung mattgeschnittener Dekor aus Blütenfestons und Vögeln auf stilisierten Zweigen. Unterhalb des geschweift geschnittenen Randes breite Bordüre aus Kugelschliff. Gem., Herstellerzeichen. H. 67 cm. 65 cm x 55 cm.
1855 präsentierte Christofle auf der Pariser Ausstellung auf dem Champs-Èlysées ein umfangreiches Tafelservice, das von Kaiser Napoleon III. bestellt wurde. Zu diesem imposanten Service gehörte ein Tafelaufsatz mit Amoretten sowie einzelne Amorettenskulpturen, an denen sich vorliegende Tafelaufsätze in ihrer Ausführung stark orientieren.
