Silber, vergoldet. Vierpassig geschweifter Korpus, mit erhabenem, reliefplastischem Dekor aus Akanthusblättern, Blüten, Rocaillen und Muschelwerk. Korrespondierender Deckel mit abnehmbarem Griff, als Schale verwendbar. Beschaumarken, Ältermannbuchstabe, Herstellerzeichen. Gew. zus. ca. 4119 g. H. 5 cm - 13,5 cm, 28 cm x 32 cm.
Firma Storr & Mortimer gegründet 1822, zieht 1838 in die New Bond Street ein. Storr fertigte u. a. Tafelsilber für den Duke of Portland, den "Battle of the Nile Cup" für Lord Nelson an und wurde vom König George III und König George IV frequentiert. Vergleichbare Objekte befinden sich u.a. im Birmingham Museum of Art und im New Orleans Museum of Art.
