Picasso widmete Ihr gleich mehrere Werke mit ihr als Modell.Der Druck 'Femme assise en tailleur: Geneviève Laporte' veranschaulicht Picassos virtuoser Umgang mit der Linie. Geneviève Laporte ist sitzend im Profil portraitiert, mit dem Blick zum Betrachter gewandt. Ihre Beine sind übereinandergeschlagen und ihr Kopf ruht auf ihrer Hand. Der deutlich dunklere Bereich um ihren Kopf lenkt den Blick des Betrachters und betont ihre weichen Gesichtszüge. Den Rest ihres Körpers zeichnete Picasso hingegen gekonnt mit nur wenigen Strichen. Min. gebräunt, part. fleckig, minimalst stockfleckig. Im Passepartout und hinter Glas gerahmt (ungeöffnet). Literatur: Baer 888, Bloch 1837. Signed 'Picasso' in pencil at lower right and numbered '17/180' at lower left. Frontispiece to the book: 'Recordant el Dr. Reventós', Gustavo Gili, Barcelona 1969. Min. browned, partly stained, minimal foxing. Mounted and framed behind glass (unopened). This small-format drypoint etching by Pablo Picasso from 1951 shows the young Geneviève Laporte, who became Picasso's muse and lover. Picasso dedicated several works to her with her as a model. The print 'Femme assise en tailleur: Geneviève Laporte' illustrates Picasso's virtuoso handling of the line. Geneviève Laporte is portrayed seated in profile, with her gaze turned towards the viewer. Her legs are crossed and her head rests on her hand. The distinctly darker area around her head directs the viewer's gaze and emphasises her soft facial features.
