Lot of (2) Tecumseh BBC trophy baseballs to include: May 6, 1878 Rochester BBC vs. Tecumseh and May 15, 1878 Manchester BBC vs. Tecumseh. Early figure eight style baseballs in period maroon paint have hand drawn gilt over red lettering listing the game scores and dates. Overall condition is very fine retaining excellent original surface.

Originated from the personal collection of Joe "Ubbo Ubbo" Hornung who played in the International Association and National League during the 1870-80s. Includes copy of a related letter of provenance for the July 6, 1878 trophy ball from the Hornung family: EX
