Sur pied bâte uni, le corps en verre poli piriforme à pans concaves, appliqué sur le col de pampres de vigne et sous le bec verseur d'un cimier, l'anse formée de deux tiges de vigne entrelacées, le couvercle à charnière avec prise en grappe de raisin, le bouchon intérieur avec prise en anneau, poinçons sous les becs verseurs, sur les couvercles et les bouchons: titre, ville, lettre-date (lettre C) et orfèvre

H.: 26,5 cm. (10 1⁄2 in.)

Le cimier est celui des Phipps pour les Marquesses of Normanby, très probablement pour Constantine Henry Phipps, 1st Marquess of Normanby (1797-1863), homme politique du Yorkshire, Lord Lieutenant of Ireland et ambassdeur en France.
