Auszieher beidseitig gemarkt "Geladen", Sicherung "Rust". Hülsenkopf ohne Beschriftung. Am Vordergelenk viermal Krone/"W" in Kreuzform (Königin Wilhelmina). Vollständige originale Streichbrünierung. Bedienteile dünn, gelb angelassen. Kleinteile gebläut. Dunkle Nussholzgriffschalen. Vernickeltes Falzmagazin mit Holzboden ohne Nummer. Unikat in neuer Erhaltung. Waffe in einem Nussholzkoffer, Maße 26 x 21 x 8 cm, ausgelegt mit grünem Filz und folgendem weiteren Inhalt: zwei fleckige Ersatzmagazine wie oben, Putzstock mit Fettbuchse, Schlüssel, Kofferschlüssel und mit "07" nummerngleiches Vordergelenk mit vielen Schlagversuchen Krone/"W". Ferner eine Referenz in Maschinenabschrift eines Nelson Miles, Schwager des Büchsen- und Werkzeugmachers Wm. Daniels (Übersetzung): "Diese Luger Pistole im Kaliber 9mm, SN 8607, wurde zusammengebaut und gründlich getestet von Herrn Wm. Daniels, Büchsen- und Werkzeugmacher, Inspektor einer Lieferung solcher Pistolen, hergestellt für die Holländische Armee durch das Königliche Zeughaus Woolwich in Woolwich, London England. Nach dessen Tod wurde die Waffe übernommen durch dessen Bruder Albert, der sie seinerseits mir, seinem Schwager, überlassen hat."

A Luger pistol Mod. 1906 by Vickers Ltd., Commercial, trial gun in wooden case
Cal. 9mmLuger, SN. 8607, matching numbers except grips. Front toggle link, side plate and safety unnumbered. Almost bright bore. British proof marks. The extractor marked "Geladen" on both sides, the safety marked "Rust". Chamber area unmarked. The toggle link four times marked Crown/"W" in cross shape (Queen Wilhelmina). Original finish > 98%. Small parts strawed or niter blued. Dark walnut grips. Nickel-plated magazine with unmarked wooden base. Unique specimen in as new condition. In a wooden case, dimensions 26 x 21 x 8 cm, lined in green baize, containing two spotted spare mags, a cleaning rod, oiler, tool, key, and a front toggle link with matching number "07" and many attempted punches Crown/"W". Included is a reference letter by Mr. Miles Nelson, brother-in-law of Wm. Daniels, reading: "This Luger 9 M/M Pistol No. 8607 was assembled and thoroughly tested in 1928 by Mr. Wm. Daniels, gunsmith and toolmaker, who was inspector of a consignment of these pistols being made for The Dutch Army by the Royal Woolwich Arsenal at Woolwich, London England, and given to his brother Albert, since deceased, who gave it to me, his brother-in-law [...]".
