Leicht gewölbter, rechteckiger Schild aus getriebenem Eisenblech mit abgesetzter Randzone mit fein gebördeltem und geschnürtem Rand. Aus fein getriebenem Blech aufgesetztes bekröntes Wappen der Familie Visconti. Umlaufende Futternieten sowie vier Nieten für die Schildfesseln. Rückseitig originale Bespannung aus langflorigem Samt (berieben, teils verschlissen) mit zwei gepolsterten Schildfesseln. Auf moderner Acrylglasplatte mit Hängeöse montiert. Maße 63 x 41 cm.

An Italian "alla antiqua" parade shield with the crest of the Visconti family, 17th century
The slightly domed, rectangular shield made of hammered sheet iron, the offset outer rim with a fine turned and roped edge. The appliquéd, crowned Visconti family crest in finely hammered sheet metal. Continuous lining rivets and four rivets for the shield grips. The original cover of deep-pile velvet on the back (scuffed, worn out in places) with two padded shield grips. Mounted on a modern acrylic glass panel with a suspension loop. Dimensions 63 x 41 cm.

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
