A SIX-PANEL SCREEN OF AN ANONYMOUS TOSA- STYLE PAINTER - Japan, late Edo period - Byobu. Depicting Prince Genji gazing over lake Biwa. Ink, colour and gold on paper. - The tale of Genji was written in the 11th century by Murasaki Shikibu, a noblewoman, in a combination of poetry, prose, and journal-like writing. The book is about a fictional Prince of Genji and his seductions and romances as an aristocrat in Heian era (794 - 1185). Former German private collection, acquired at the Antique Fair, Münsterlandhalle, 1982 Partial traces of age, minor rest.

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
