A PARCEL GILT-BRONZE FIGURE OF MANJUSHRI - Tibeto-Chinese, early 19th c. - Seated in vajrasana on a lotus base with his right hand raised holding the sword-hilt while the left is showing the vitarkamudra originally holding the stem of a lotus flowering along his left upper arm supporting the manuscript, wearing dhoti, scarf, bejewelled, his fcae displaying a serene expression with downcast eyes below arched eyebrows, blue coloured hairdo topped with a ratna and secured with a five-leaf tiara, unsealed. - From an old European private collection, acquired prior to 2000 - Blade of the sword lost, minor wear, two fingers repl.

In Vajrasana auf einem Lotossockel sitzend, die rechte Hand erhoben, den Schwertgriff haltend, während die linke das Vitarkamudra zeigt, ursprünglich den Stiel einer Lotosblüte haltend, die an seinem linken Oberarm entlang blüht und das Manuskript trägt, in Dhoti, Schal, mit Juwelen geschmückt, mit heiterem Gesichtsausdruck, mit niedergeschlagenen Augen unter gewölbten Augenbrauen, blau gefärbte Frisur, die mit einer Ratna gekrönt und mit einem fünfblättrigen Diadem gesichert ist, ungesiegelt.
