Sehr grosse feingemalte zentralrussische Ikone, restaurierter Längsriss, um 1800

Zu sehen sind Muttergottesbilder und Patrone der Heilkunst. In vier horizontalen Reihen sind Heilige, welche -wie der Titel besagt- von Gott die Gabe zu heilen bekommen haben, dargestellt. Sie werden nicht nur bei Krankheiten von Tier und Mensch angerufen, sondern auch bei Unglücksfällen und sonstigen Nöten. So wird die Gottesmutter von Kasan beispielsweise bei Blindheit und Augenkrankheiten um Hilfe gebeten, die Gottesmutter von Tichwin für den Erhalt der Gesundheit von Säuglingen, die Gottesmutter Feodorovskaja bei einer schwierigen Geburt, die Gottesmutter vom Unverbrennbaren Dornbusch bei Feuersgefahr und beispielsweise der heiligen Johannes der Täufer bei Kopfkrankheiten. Bei jedem heiligen ist auf der Ikone sein Patronat angegeben.

In four horizontal rows images of the Mother of God and saints are shown, who -as the title suggests- have received the talent of healing from God. For example, the Mother of God Kasanskaya is asked for help with blindness and eye diseases, the Mother of God Tichvinskaya when childbirth is difficult, the Mother of God ‘Unburnt Bush’ when there is a risk of fire and St. John the Baptist with head diseases. The patronage of every saint on the icon is indicated.
