PAVEL PAVLOVICH KAMENSKY 1858 St. Petersburg - 1923 (?) A VERY RARE PLASTER BOZZETTO DEPICTING 'A LAPPS MAN (A SÁMI MAN)' FROM THE PEOPLE OF RUSSIA SERIES Russian, St. Petersburg, Imperial Porcelain Manufactory, Period of Nicholas II, 1909 Plaster, polychrome painting. Signed in Cyrillic on the base 'P. Kamensky', inventory number '717'. The figure partially chipped lower. 38 cm high. The porcelain figure series ''Peoples of Russia'' was created in 1913 to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the Romanov dynasty. Between 1907 and 1917, the porcelain figures were produced at the Imperial Porcelain Manufactory. The series comprised 73 nationalities and ethnic types, with a total of 146 individual figures, for which P. P. Kamenski created approximately 150 models. This sculpture series was the most extensive and, at the same time, the last one commissioned by Nicholas II. Exhibits from the Museums of Anthropology and Ethnography served as models for the porcelain figures.

H. 38 cm. Auf dem Sockel in Kyrillisch signiert 'P. Kamenski', Inventar-Nr. '717'. Die Figurenserie ''Völker Russlands'' entstand anlässlich des 300. Jahrestages der Romanow-Dynastie im Jahr 1913. Zwischen 1907 und 1917 wurden die Porzellanfiguren in der Kaiserlichen Porzellanmanufaktur gefertigt. Die Serie umfasste 73 Nationalitäten und Volkstypen mit insgesamt 146 Einzelfiguren, für die P. P. Kamenski etwa 150 Modelle schuf. Diese Skulpturenserie war die umfangreichste und zugleich letzte, die auf Befehl von Nikolaus II. entstand. The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
