Édition originale. Beau volume imprimé à Lyon par Jean de Tournes, dont on reconnaît l’encadrement à arabesques du titre, gravé sur métal.



Si le recueil de 123 pièces est recherché c’est moins pour les 96 sonnets du canzoniere que pour la seconde partie. En effet, les Vers liriques marquent une tentative de dépassement d’un petrarquisme galvaudé, inaugurant le courant d’une poésie dite « scientifique » - anticipant un lyrisme cosmique que Ronsard, Maurice Scève et du Bartas sauront développer.

In-8 (159 x 97 mm), titre en encadrement gravé, bandeaux, culs-de-lampe et lettrines gravées, devise anagrammatique de l’imprimeur (« art en son dieu »). Reliure signée Koehler : veau brun, triple filet doré encadrant les plats et petits fers aux angles, dos à nerfs, caissons ornés, filet doré aux coupes et roulette intérieure (titre réemmargé avec petites reprises à l’encre à l’encadrement, un peu court en marge supérieur, dernier feuillet restauré, charnières fragiles).

Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
