To 1800. Jean Deverberie & Cie.

Bronze plated. Enamel dial. Rectangular Plinth with putti frieze. On Venus and her son Cupid with a
Scissors the wing-lopping, to the side of the boiling over kettle of love with lovebirds
and cloud mountain. Round enamel dial with Roman numerals and Arabic minute Markings.
Large, round pendulum Clock movement with thread suspension, strike on bell. Height of 46cm.
On the dial Jn referred to.t ft. Deverberie & Cgnie, Rue des Fossés du Temple No. 47.
Condition B. the scissors-partially completed. P/S.

Deverberie counts in the turn of the 18. 19. Century one of the leading Parisian
Watchmakers. In his workshop, he was not limited to the preparation of the
Movements, but also designed many of his Uhrmodelle itself. Many witnesses today
received design drawings in the Cabinet des Estampes of the Bibliothèque Nationale in Paris.
Pendulum clocks of Deverberie are, among others, in the Musée des Arts Decoratifs in Paris, and in the
Palazzo Pitti in Florence
