Petit in-4 (238 x 190 mm). Un des 15 exemplaires sur Montval (après l’exemplaire unique sur Japon), signés par l’auteur, comprenant 3 eaux-fortes originales et un dessin, celui-ci le n°XII, signé par Max Ernst et Benjamin Péret à la justification.
3 eaux-fortes originales en couleurs de Max Ernst, 21 dessins reproduits en noir, la plupart rehaussés en couleurs au pochoir, 13 lettrines, et 1 cul-de-lampe, le tout également d’après Ernst. Plats de couverture bistre ornés d'une reproduction en blanc de deux des gravures.
L’exemplaire comprend également :
1) Comme annoncé à la justification, un frottage original signé de Max Ernst, à la mine de plomb et aux crayons de couleurs rouge, vert, violet et bleu, sur papier simili-Japon, de l'illustration p. 21 et représentant la tête de la "brebis" portant un poulpe découpé sur le front (au format du livre, 238 x 190 mm).
2) L’exemplaire est en outre enrichi d’un second dessin original signé de Max Ernst, à l'encre de Chine et collage sur vélin fort, de la première lettrine du livre (lettre "M"), agrémentée d'une plume en collage et reproduite en réduction, en bistre, p. 9 (155 x 170 mm, monté sur onglet).
Reliure de Georges Leroux : maroquin fauve, plats ornés d’une composition mosaïquée et symétrique sur les plats de parchemin ivoire, représentant une tête de brebis à la manière de Max Ernst, dos lisse, lettre dorée, gardes de papier bois, tête dorée sur témoins (petit manque à un des yeux de la brebis du premier plat, charnières usées). Étui (étui restauré).

First edition of a text written in 1924 and first appearance of the 3 original colour etchings by Max Ernst, as well as of the 21 reproductions of drawings and collages printed in black and hand-coloured by stencil by the artist. One of 15 copies on vélin Montval paper signed by author and illustrator, containing three etchings and a signed drawing in black-lead and colour crayons by Ernst (showing the head of the titular "Brebis galante" reproduced on p. 21). In addition, this copy contains an original ink drawing and collage by Ernst (reproduced in bistre as the initial letter "M." in the book).

First of all, you should register to be able to purchase at auction. The results of the auction are published within a few days after the end of the auction. In the top menu of the site, find the tab "Auctions". Click on it and you will be on the auction catalog page, where you can easily find the category "Results". After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
