Perlhuhn mit Küken
Auf gehöhtem, von reliefplastischem Blattwerk umzogenem Natursockel sitzendes Perlhuhn in stolzer Haltung mit emporragendem Hals und nach links gewandtem Kopf. Der Helm und die Kehllappen in markanter, roter Staffierung. Zu den Füßen zwei im Schutz des Federkleides sitzende Küken. Farbkräftig akzentuierte polychrome Malerei. Entw. Max Esser, 1923. Entw.-Bez.; Modell-Nr. 77370. Schwertermarke. H. 41,5 cm.
Max Esser (1885 - 1945) gilt als einer der bedeutendsten Plastiker der Pfeifferzeit. Nach einer Bildhauerlehre wurde er Meisterschüler von August Gaul an der Kunstakademie in Berlin. Bereits als freischaffender Bildhauer war er eng mit der Meissener Manufaktur verbunden, ab 1920 auch dort beschäftigt. Seine im Stil des Art Déco geschaffenen Tierfiguren der 1920er Jahre überzeugen ungeachtet der Formstrenge durch einen ausdrucksstarken Habitus sowie kräftige, akzentuierte Farbigkeit.

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
