[PESTE - MILANO] - Lotto di 9 grida di Sanità. Milan: Malatesta, 1631-1671. A collection of Milanese "grida" against the plague that trace the various epidemics that occurred in the 17th-century starting from a "Bando delle città di Venezia Padova e Piacenza per causa di Peste" of May 20, 1631, or the period of the unfortunate Manzonian plague. Particularly topical are the cries on the "bollette di sanità" (health bills), real certificates attesting the good health or the safe origin of goods and people to allow movement between states. Interesting lot, unfortunately current, which sheds light on the methods of preventing the spread of pandemics in the early modern age. Misure varie. 9 printed sheets (slight defects).
