First editions, the Piccolomini in first issue (without the printer's device repeated at end). In the first work Piccolomini deals mainly with astronomy even if it is highlighted how astronomy and astrology are interconnected. The second treatise is a dialogue in which the differences between ancient and contemporary astrological theories are compared, and is dedicated to Pietro Bembo.

2 works in one volume, 4to (199 x 138mm). Printer devices on titles, initials and woodcut headpieces, first work with numerous diagrams in text, with final blank in first work (some light occasional staining and foxing, some dampstaining to top edge in second work together with some worming, without final blank in second work). 19th-century marbled boards backed in leather decorated in gilt, blue speckled edges. Provenance: "Liber hic est Conventy St. Hilary Cremonee" (ownership inscription on first title) - some early (cropped) annotations to second work.
