Blick auf eine abendliche Landschaft mit altem Haus bei Lourmarin in der Provence, das als eines der schönsten Dörfer Frankreichs gilt. Girieud malte im Entstehungsjahr 1928 mehrfach Lourmarin und dessen Umgebung. Das vorliegende, von Paul Cézanne beeinflusste Gemälde wurde 1929 in der Girieud-Ausstellung der Galerie Druet in Paris gezeigt. Girieud gehörte vor dem I. Weltkrieg zum Umkreis des Blauen Reiter und beeinflusste deren Künstler: er war seit 1906 mit Jawlensky und Werefkin, später mit Kandinsky und Marc befreundet, überdies war er Mitglied der 1909 gegründeten "Neuen Künstlervereinigung München". Enkaustikmalerei (wohl Öl-Wachs-Mischtechnik)/Holztafel. L. u. sign. u. dat. 1928. Verso betitelt u. in Französisch bez. "Tableau encaustique. Ne pas vernis. Lustrer en frottant de haut en bas avec une étoffe de laine". 38 cm x 45.5 cm. Rahmen.

After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
