Nr. 2730, nummerngleich. Fast blanker Lauf, Länge 140 mm. Zehnschüssig. Bescheinigung über Nichtbeschuss für Sammler. Kurvenvisier skaliert 1 - 5. Nut für Anschlagschaft. Ohne Firmierung und Beschuss. Vorne unten am Griff gemarkt "8", oben an der linken Griffschale schwach "P 2". Vollständige, vermutlich nicht originale Brünierung. Visierschieber und Schrauben gebläut. Sichtbarer Teil des Laufes fleckig. Nussholzgriffschalen mit Fischhaut, Druckstellen. Fangring. Magazin mit zehn Sichtlöchern. Dazu der passende, helle Nussholzanschlagschaft, Zwinge S/N 230, mit passender Tasche, jeweils als Repro.
Wohl ein Versuch der Fa. Langenhan, mit diesem Militärmodell in Konkurrenz zur Langen Pistole 08 und der Mauser C 96 zu gehen.

SN. 2730, matching numbers. Almost bright bore, barrel length 140 mm. Magazine holds ten rounds. No proof marks. Tangent rear sights scaled 1 - 5. Lug for shoulder stock. No maker's marks. The front grip strap marked "8", the left grip panel faintly marked "P 2". The finish better 99%, but probably reblued. Rear sight adjust button and screws nitre-blued. Visible part of barrel spotted. Checkered walnut grips, with a few dings. Lanyard ring. Magazine with 10 windows. Comes with matching, light-coloured walnut shoulder stock, the iron with S/N "230", with matching holster, both are reproductions.
Most likely Langenhan built this military pistol to compete against the Artillery Luger and the Mauser C 96.
