PLUTARCO (45-120) - Ankunfft, Leben und wesen. Colmar: Bartholomé Grieninger, 1547-41. First complete edition of the German translation of Plutarch’s Vitae Parallelae by Hieronymus Boner (ca. 1490-1556) whom is remembered for having translated the works of numerous classic authors. A partial translation (only 8 of 46 lives of the Saints), was published already in 1534 in Augsburg. 2 parts in one volume, folio (323 x 202mm). Title in red and black with woodcut vignette and illustration, large illustrations in text showing battles and celebrations (first and final leaves a bit frayed at outer margin with some light worming, occasional light browning and scattered staining, without final blank). Contemporary blindstamped pigskin dated 1549, with original metal clasps.

The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
