An elegant edition with fine woodcut illustrations. The first volume, which was actually printed after the second, contains 24 lives translated by Battista Alessandro Iaconelli; the second, 27 lives translated by Giulio Bordone; finally there is also the life of Marcus Brutus, added after the colophon and not mentioned in the index.

Titles within elegant woodcut borders, the second printed in red and black, numerous woodcut illustrations, with final blank in he first part and blank 2d8 in the second (first title unfortunately damaged at the lower and upper margin by dampstaining and reinforced, other leaves with dampstaining and some occasional browning). Contemporary vellum, manuscript title on spine (some chipping and staining).
