PORCELAIN ALLEGORY "MORNING".

Meissen.
Date: 20th century.
Maker/Designer: Model J. Schilling.
Technique: Porcelain, enriched in colours and gold.
Description: On a square pedestal the female allegory crowned by the morning star and accompanied by
the awakening and the morning dew. From a series "The Four Times of Day", which Schilling
designed in bronze for the staircase of the Brühl Terrace in Dresden.
Measurement: Height 42,5cm.
Mark: Swordsmark with two grinds, J187. On the pedestal signed "Johannes Schilling".

- Two fingers of the right hand broken off and missing. - Amphora restored???? - The awakening: little finger of the left hand with chip and crack. - Otherwise typical signs of use due to age, such as rubbing of the decoration and superficial soiling.
