In seiner rechten Hand eine Aktenmappe, in der linken der Entwurf einer Rede "Soyez fermes, mais non pas opiniatres, courageux, mais non pas tumulteux, sensibles, mais non pas enthousiastes, libres, mais non, pas indisciplines. 1790". Links unten undeutlich signiert und datiert "179?". Restauriert mit kleinen Retuschen, links im Hintergrund restaurierter Riss. Kräftiger moderner Firnis. Doubliert, Keilrahmen erneuert. Maße 45,5 x 35,5 cm.
Honoré Gabriel Victor de Riqueti (1749-91): Comte de Mirabeau, seit 13. Juli 1789 Marquis de Mirabeau. Französischer Politiker, Physiokrat, Schriftsteller und Publizist in der Zeit der Aufklärung. Er unterstützte die Französische Revolution und war zur ihrer Anfangszeit Abgeordneter und Wortführer des Dritten Standes in den Generalständen und Mitglied im Zirkel der Gesellschaft der Dreißig. 1791 hielt er den präsidialen Vorsitz der verfassungsgebenden Nationalversammlung.
Als Ursache für seinen plötzlichen frühen Tod am 02. April 1791 wird ein Giftmord vermutet.

Holding a portfolio in his right hand, the draft of a speech in his left: "Soyez fermes et non pas opiniâtres; courageux et non pas tumultueux; libres, mais non pas indisciplinés; sensibles, mais non pas enthousiastes. 1790". Illegible signature at the bottom left, dated "179?".. Restored with slight retouching, a restored crack in the background on the left. Sturdy modern varnish. Re-lined, the stretcher replaced. A French politician, physiocrat, writer and publisher during the Age of Enlightenment, he supported the French Revolution and, in the early days, served as a delegate and spokesman of the Third Estate in the Estates General and was a member of the circle in the Society of Thirty. In 1791, he served as president of the constitutional National Assembly.Owing to his sudden, early demise on 2 April 1791, it is suspected that he was poisoned.

After opening it, select the desired auction from the list, enter and view the current status of the interested lot.
The information about the auction winners is confidential. The auction winner will receive a direct notification from the auction house responsible with instructions for further action: an invoice for payment and the manner in which the goods will be received.
Each of the auction houses has its own payment policy for the won lots. All auction houses accept bank transfers, most of them accept credit card payments. In the near future you will find detailed information for each case in the section "Auction information" on the page of the auction catalog and the lot.
Shipment of the won lot depends on its size. Small items can be delivered by post. Larger lots are sent by courier. Employees of the auction houses will offer you a wide range to choose from.
