Öl auf Leinwand, rechts unten signiert und datiert "Craison 1918". Bruststück eines Generalmajors in feldgrauer Uniform mit äußerst umfangreichem Ordensschmuck (14-teilige Ordensschnalle mit Rotem Adlerorden). Im alten stuckierten und vergoldeten Rahmen (bestoßen). Partiell leicht beschädigt, Altersspuren. Bildmaße 61 x 50 cm, Rahmenmaße 72 x 62 cm.
Professionelle Malqualität mit fein differenziertem Farbauftrag (minimale Fehlstellen). Möglicherweise handelt es sich bei dem Dargestellten um Alfred von Besser (1854 - 1919).

Oil on canvas, signed and dated on the lower right "Craison 1918". Chest-length portrait of a Generalmajor in field grey uniform wearing many medals (14-piece medal bar, among them the Order of the Red Eagle). In old stuccoed and gilt frame (bumped). Partially slightly damaged, signs of age. Dimensions of picture 61 x 50 cm, framed 72 x 62 cm.
Professional painting with delicate colour application (minimal losses). The person depicted is probably Alfred von Besser (1854 - 1919).
